Visit Visa

Tourists who wish to stay in the UAE for more than 14 days or those coming on family or business visits can apply for Visit Visas. Transit Visa

Transit passengers stopping at the UAE airports for a minimum of 8 hours are eligible for a 96-hour Transit Visa. A valid onward ticket is required. Passport and other travel documents should be valid for at least three months.

How to obtain a Canadian work permit visa?

Every year about a million foreign workers apply for a Canadian work visa and wish to work in the country on a temporary basis. As a foreigner to work in Canada, you must obtain the working permit. In order to obtain the work permit for all the foreign workers, you will need an offer letter from the Canadian employer. Once you provide the offer letter to the embassy, the Temporary Work Visa will be issued to you by the ESDC or commonly known as Employment and Social Development Canada. There are different steps to this procedure. Depending upon your citizenship of your home country, you will also need to apply for the TRV or the Temporary Resident VISA in order to reach Canada. Below mentioned are the steps you should follow to obtain the Canadian work visa:

  • Step 1: If necessary, your employer will apply for the Labour Market Impact Assessment.
  • Step 2: Employer will extend your job offer temporarily for a period of time.

Before you receive the temporary work visa, your employer who is hiring you as a temporary foreign employee will have to apply for the working permit and obtain the LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) by the ESDC. The ESDC will assess that there are no citizens of Canada who are interested in doing the job or any other permanent resident accepting this job offer. Once they have assessed all these options, ESDC will issue the positive clearance and instruct your employer to proceed to hire you as a temporary worker.

Work permits will be issued by the immigration officials of Canada without the LMIA approval under a limited number of circumstances, such as

  • Under the international agreements like NAFTA or North American Free Trade Agreement
  • Due to some important cultural, economic, or social advantages that your work will bring to the Canadians.
  • As a part of the Canadian reciprocal agreements and its part of territories or provinces that may have entered into different countries, like youth, teacher exchange courses or programs, and so on.
  • It may also be granted keeping in mind about the international students who are studying in Canada and can fulfill their academic needs such as co-op placements, and so on.
  • To permit the common-law partners or the spouses of the Work Visa and specific study visa holders to apply jobs in Canada.
  • You will be granted LMIA if the nature of your work is related to Charity or any other religious matters.
  • In recognition that specific individuals in Canada for reasons that are not mentioned above, like the making of a claim of refugees, required to support themselves.

Step 2: Employer will extend your job offer temporarily for a period of time.

Once the LMIA is approved by the ESDC, your employer in Canada will be able to give you the job offer temporarily if you are a foreigner. What is a Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)?

Introduced in November 2011, the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement says that the visa applicant must be able to demonstrate a genuine intention to stay in Australia temporarily for the purpose of study or to accompany a student as a dependent (i.e. spouse or child) or as a guardian. The decision-makers at the Department of Home Affairs will consider the following factors:

  • Circumstances in your home country
  • Potential circumstances for you in Australia
  • Value of your chosen course to your future
  • Your immigration history

In order to determine whether you meet the GTE requirement, you may be asked to attend an interview at your nearest Australian embassy or consulate. Some applicants will only need to fill in a visa application form.

Completing an Australian student visa application form

All international students apply for the same visa; the Student Visa (Subclass 500), which you must apply for online.

Before applying for a visa, you will need to obtain a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) or a Letter of Offer confirming you have been accepted into a course registered under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions of Courses (CRICOS). The COE will be in the form on an online code that you will need to enter into the appropriate section in the online visa application. You may also need to pay a deposit towards your tuition fees.

You will be able to change course afterward to study in Australia at the same or a higher study level, but you will need to apply for a new visa if you are changing course to a lower level on the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) or a non-AQF level course (unless changing from a Ph.D. to a master’s). You may also package your studies by studying two or more courses on your Student Visa (Subclass 500), where there is a clear progression from one course to another.

Australian student visa requirements

When completing your online visa application form, you will need to provide evidence of the following according to the Australian student visa requirements:

  • Financial requirements: Evidence of sufficient funds to cover tuition, travel and living costs. From February 2018, the amount you need to prove you have for living costs (separate from tuition and travel) is set at AU$20,290 (US$15,600) for a year. If you have dependents (such as a spouse and children), you will also need to show evidence of being able to cover living costs for them, including school fees. Alternatively, you can show evidence that your spouse or parents are willing to support you and that they earn at least AU$60,000 (US$46,140) a year.
  • English proficiency requirement: If you are not from an English-speaking country (and have not completed at least five years’ study in an English-speaking country) you will need to prove you can speak English to the required level. The Department of Home Affairs website list eligible test, with possibilities being the IELTS, TOEFL,iBT, Pearson Tes of English (PTE) Academic, and Cambridge Advanced English (CAE). The score you will need will depend on whether you are starting a full degree, doing a foundation course, or enrolling on a preliminary English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS).
  • Health Requirements: Some students may be asked to take a medical and/or a radiological check-up to show they are in good health (this applies, for example, to those who intend to train as a doctor who has been approved by the Australian immigration department.

Except those from Belgium or Norway, all students are obliged to purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). You may purchase this cover through your university, or directly from one of the five approved providers: Australian Health Management, BUPA Australia, Medibank Private, Allianz Global Assistance and nib OSHC. The cost of this health insurance cover will vary depending on the provider and how long you purchase cover for.

Students from Sweden who have purchased health insurance through Kammarkollegiet will not need to purchase OSHC. Belgian and Norwegian students are also not required to purchase OSHC as part of their visa requirements.

  • Character requirements: Australian student visa requirement stipulates you must be of good character to enter Australia. This includes a criminal record check, to make sure you do not have a substantial criminal record. You may also need to acquire a penal clearance certificate (or police certificate) or get a police statement and may be asked to complete a Character Statutory Declaration Form.

Using your student visa

You can enter Australia on your student visa up to 90 days before your course starts. Within seven days of arrival, you must inform your education provider of your resident address, and also inform them within seven days if you change the address.

While on a student visa, you may work up to 40 hours per fortnight during term time, and full-time in the holidays. The Visa is automatically issued with permission to work, although you are not allowed to begin working until your course has started, and should not rely on work in order to support yourself or your family while in Australia.

How to get Kuwait working visa

After the test, you will be issued a certificate and that has t0 be shown to the officials at the airport in Kuwait, as and when you are asked for that.
  • The final thing that you need to know is the most important aspect – the fines that you can have to pay. If you are staying a single day more than that of the time mentioned in the visa, you will then have to pay 10 KDs for each day you stayed more to the authority at the embassy, and you need to give that to the authority, before leaving the nation. However, you can exceed the time phase for your stay, for which you will have to show a proper justification. The extension that you can apply for is applicable before the last date of your permit, and not after the permitted time is over.
